Optometry is an amazing career! He loves that doctors can do something very small and make a LARGE difference. He remembers fitting a highly farsighted 8-year-old patient with her first pair of contact lenses. She immediately smiled and her mother exclaimed that she looked beautiful and would no longer be teased for her thick glasses. Stories like these make the job magical.

He tries his best to live an active lifestyle. While this does not mean he started training for a marathon, he does get some cardio shooting hoops and playing grass or beach volleyball. Recently, he started online mat pilates with his girlfriend. He challenges anyone who thinks this sounds easy to try a workout by the YouTuber Pilates by Izzy. On weekends, he and his girlfriend can be found trying a new matcha spot or breakfast burrito before their weekend hike with their dog Kiwi.
When he was a teenager, one of his favorite "traditions" after a late night basketball or volleyball practice would be to "cook" some Shin Ramyun Red and watch the latest anime episodes. He is fortunate to say this tradition continues thanks to the many Asian grocery stores and his brother's Crunchyroll account.
