Dr. Mai is deeply passionate about helping others, from supporting fellow eye doctors as a Vision Source administrator to teaching students at SCCO how to build their dream practices. He serves on numerous advisory boards, mainly in the myopia space, to help more children.
He is Co-Founder of Insight Vision Center Optometry, where he leads with humor, empathy, and a healthy dose of caffeine. Dr. Mai is a past president of the Orange County Optometric Society, Vice President of Clinical Innovation at Treehouse Eyes, and a frequent speaker and mentor, guiding future optometrists as they grow their careers.
Dr. Lam is passionate about helping children improve their vision and learning through non-surgical solutions like vision therapy, using fun, personalized exercises to address issues such as lazy eye, crossed eyes, double vision, and tracking problems. With a doctorate from the Southern California College of Optometry and a residency in Pediatrics and Vision Therapy, she brings extensive experience, including work with underserved communities, to provide compassionate, effective eye care.
Dr. Lam is affiliated with the Optometric Vision Development and Rehabilitation Association, Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation Association, Treehouse Eyes, Orange County Optometric Society, California Optometric Association, American Academy of Optometry, Orange County Concussion Consortium, and the Pediatric Cortical Visual Impairment Society. She has also served as organizer of the Orange County Concussion Consortium.
Dr. Schramm is an accomplished optometrist, teacher, writer, and key opinion leader. He organized the first congress dedicated solely to ocular prosthetics, the International Congress of Scleral Contacts, now a yearly event. He contributed to a 2019 ophthalmology textbook chapter on scleral lenses and has written for Advanced Ocular Care, Collaborative Eye, Contact Lens Spectrum, and Natural Awakenings.
At various optometry and ophthalmology conferences, Dr. Schramm has taught thousands of eye doctors about nutrition and scleral lenses in China, India, and the United States. Part of his medical training occurred in China, and he prefers to use a holistic approach to eye care.
Dr. Nhi is affiliated with the Optometric Vision Development and Rehabilitation Association, Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation Association, Treehouse Eyes, Orange County Optometric Society, California Optometric Association, American Academy of Optometry, Orange County Concussion Consortium, and the Pediatric Cortical Visual Impairment Society. She is also actively involved in research studies focused on advancing myopia management and improving long term outcomes for patients.
She is passionate about expanding access to high quality eye care and raising awareness about overall health and wellness, particularly within underserved communities. Dr. Nhi is dedicated to advancing clinical care through research, collaboration, and patient education, with a focus on delivering thoughtful, evidence based treatment tailored to each individual.
Dr. Kamo is passionate about myopia management and specialty contact lens fitting, with a focus on irregular corneas and scleral lenses. He completed his Cornea and Contact Lens Residency at UC Berkeley and earned his Fellowship of the American Academy of Optometry (FAAO). If you have keratoconus, irregular corneas, or any corneal condition, he's the doctor for you.
Dr. Kamo serves as a STAPLE Preceptor at the Southern California College of Optometry, helping shape the next generation of optometrists in specialty contact lens education. His research includes work on higher-order aberrations in scleral lens wear and myopia management with multifocal scleral lenses. He is dedicated to improving patients' quality of life through better vision while helping prevent long-term eye health complications.
Dr. Hwang specializes in binocular vision dysfunction and the ways it quietly derails a child's ability to learn, read, and focus, treating convergence insufficiency, tracking difficulties, amblyopia, double vision, and strabismus through vision therapy. She earned a dual Doctor of Optometry and Master of Public Health degree at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences and completed her residency in Pediatrics and Vision Therapy at Pacific University.
Her training includes caring for children navigating significant visual impairment, low vision, and legal blindness at IN-SIGHT Vision Rehabilitation, along with work alongside the neurodivergent community in Miami that earned her the College of Optometrists in Vision Development Student of Excellence in Vision Therapy Award. Dr. Hwang is devoted to making pediatric eye care accessible, welcoming neurodivergent patients, individuals with cortical visual impairment or cerebral palsy, and non-speaking patients who communicate through AAC devices.
