Great optometrist! Staff was super friendly, easy to schedule appointments, no waiting around to be seen, and the office was bright and fun. I even took my dad here and he was raving to everyone about what a "cool" setup they had afterwards. Great place to bring your kids too, Dr. Mai was friendly and put you at ease- I'll definitely be bringing my son here for his first checkup when it comes time!

Fantastic!!!

About two weeks ago I had a bit of blurry vision in one of my eyes. A fellow yelper/friend pointed me in the direction of this fantastic office. Whilst working around my busy work schedule, the office was able to accommodate me by scheduling me in the last same day appointment, and even stayed open a bit later than usual to meet my needs.

Now that my vision insurance benefits has been renewed, I revisited yesterday for my annual routine eye exam. Dr. Mai was great and explained everything thoroughly. When it came to glasses selection, the staff was able to assist me in finding the perfect fit for my face shape and personality. They worked with me throughout my indesision on the types of glasses, as well as my desire for modern/classic/fun looks. Despite my inner hipster wanting plastic frames, Dr. Mai's staff showed me the value of nose pads on combatting "lash crash" (you know where you're Asian and have no real bridge for your glasses and your eye lashes end up smudging your glasses). I am proud to say that my final glasses frame selection has nose pads (fuction) whilst still maintaining a certain level of hipster fashionable style (purple with fun accents!)!

Overall, knowledgeable and patient staff who works with you to help you achieve your best eye health. ?

If you're looking for a GREAT optometrist than search no further. Everything about Insight Vision Center is incredible. From the staff to Dr. Lam, my experience was over the top. I highly recommend using Insight for all your vision care.

I was in the Irvine area for the OC fair and decided to get my once a 4 years eye exam . Dr. Lam was very friendly and great at explaining all the procedures.

Dr. Lam said my eyes were healthy and I did not feel pressured into buying anything. I ended up buying a pair of Ray-Bans. Dr. Lam was able to work with my VSP insurance and I got the glasses for a discounted price. There are a huge selection of frames and whatever they don't have they can order.

The facility is new and clean. It is inside of a business park and a bit hard to locate. If you pull into the front entrance of the business park there's a map of the complex, just follow the map to the correct building.

Overall great experience, see you in a few years.

I've needed glasses since the 3rd grade, so I've had my fair share of optometric experiences. The first thing I noticed about Insight was the attractive design and layout of the office. I felt like I was at a high end boutique, but for glasses. I was half expecting loud EDM music and stuck up salespeople but rest assured though that the staff at Insight were very friendly.

I'm a bit of an introvert and have had eye examinations where it got a little awkward since the doctor was making no effort at all at conversation. I've also had doctors who were so friendly that talking to them was like talking to a good friend I haven't seen in a while. Insight was definitely the latter case. The staff and doctors were super friendly and everything from pre-screening, to examination, to post consultation was a pleasant experience.

In terms of the hard product, they had a wide selection to choose from. They were easily able to find a frame which I was really happy with. I don't go too crazy when it comes to frames but if you wanted a unique shape or color there were definitely some frames that I thought were really interesting.

So there was one more thing I wanted to add, which may not be super important but which I really appreciated being a veteran visitor of optometry offices. Normally during pre-screening, to check the pressure of your eyes, all my previous optometrists have used the machine where it blows a puff of air into your eyes. It may not be painful but it certainly isn't the most comfortable sensation. Thankfully, Insight has what I consider a magical machine that is able to test eye pressure without the air puff. I loved it.
