Nice family friendly place, had first appointment that started on time and I felt welcome. They spent the time to explain the each vision test and what they were testing for.
Dr. Mai took really great care of me. First of all, I always thought my eyes were fine as I am an avid tennis player and golfer and have never had trouble seeing the ball, even when it's 300 yards away. But my company's insurance was running out so I thought I'd take advantage before it ran out. Dr. Mai confirmed that my eyes are pretty good for my age and career (SW Engineer), but he thought I had a chance to get to 20/10 vision, even better than 20/20! With a thorough evaluation he found a prescription to get me to 20/10 and I've never seen more clear in my life. It's like I gained a whole new perspective on my everyday life, with details and vibrant colors that I'm sure I saw when I was 18 but just gradually dulled over the years.. It didn't end there, he recommended a pair of sunglasses that he said would change how I view sunglasses… Classic salesman pitch, I've always thought the $12 sunglasses at target were fine, but until you've tried a pair of sunglasses you just wont understand. Reflections from the inside of the glasses are even reduced while enhancing the overall optics of everything I see. I couldn't be more satisfied with my prescription!
I went in for an exam and a pair of glasses and had to bring my 11 month-old. Dr. Lam not only did a great job with my examination, she also examined my child's developmental vision, testing his eye tracking ability and she also checked for eye tumors. Some parts of the exams, I have not undergone before so it seems they are very up-to-date on their practices and exams. Very friendly staff and they are all great with kids.
I was very happy with my visit to Insight Vision. I saw Dr. Mai who was very knowledgeable and professional. The staff were very polite and helpful with assisting me with selecting new frames. I'll be back again when it's time for my next exam!
Staff was very friendly and attentive! The place was decorated quite nicely and the selection of glasses was just what our family was looking for. Good first experience and we will be coming back! ?
